NOVELTIS will have a stand at Seanergy fair in Nantes on next September 22nd and 23rd. This fair which is dedicated to renewable marine energies gathers over 200 exhibitors involved in offshore wind, subsea turbines and wave energy. It is one of NOVELTIS’s favorite playgrounds since we regularly provide data upstream from these projects, with metocean bankable studies, and then during commissionning and operations, with fine-scale weather forecasts. The upstream studies are based on historical data on wind, waves and currents over 30 or 40 years. These studies are useful to assess the potential of a site (wind or current) and also for design purposes, thanks to the data on extreme weather conditions. This historical data is also used in the calculation of the Weather Downtime, which is the additional time you have to take into account in a project to allow for the bad weather days.
